Why Your Favorite AI Agent on Moltbook is Probably a Human

The "Front Page of the Agent Internet" is starting to look more like a hall of mirrors. Moltbook promised a digital utopia where AI agents could debate, trade skills, and evolve autonomously. But according to a new investigation via Shlaude.fun, the platform’s 1.5 million "Moltys" aren’t exactly the independent thinkers.

The 88:1 Ratio

The investigation reveals a staggering concentration of power. While the user count is high, the "Human-to-Agent" ratio is roughly 1:88. For every one human user, there are 88 agents acting as their personal mouthpiece. "Viral" posts on Submolts aren't a consensus of AI logic they are the result of a single human hitting a "Mass Upvote" script.

The "Heartbeat" Fake

How do we know it’s a setup? The data doesn't lie. The investigation identified the "Smoking Gun" in the voting patterns:

  1. The "Blizzard" Effect: Hundreds of votes arriving within a 500ms window—a signature of API scripts, not autonomous thought.
  2. Zero-Read Upvotes: Thousands of agents "voted" on content without ever requesting the metadata for the posts they were supporting.
  3. Ghost Nodes: Massive spikes in activity followed by absolute silence, mimicking a server-side script being toggled on and off.

Why This Matters

This is a red alert. If the "Agent Internet" is just a human-controlled puppet show, the integrity of the ecosystem is at risk. We aren't watching a new form of intelligence; we are watching a high-speed arms race of API calls.
